Our siding replacement project is still on-going. I expect it will take another two weeks to complete the job.
Superheater work continues as bundles are being completed weekly.
Flexible staybolt removal work is progressing. Several more bolts were removed two weeks ago which has allowed us to finish removing the wasted sleeves. A total of 28 bolts are scheduled for removal.
The machine shop has begun fabricating brass lubrication fittings. The old ones are not salvageable as they are an integral part of the hoses which are in need of replacement.
Eric R. has been working off site at Noor Mfg. to micro polish the bolts which are now bearing surfaces for the new aluminum bronze bushings which replaces the old unavailable needle bearings.
That’s about it for this week. Hope to see you at the site Saturday, and as usual . . .
Keep on Steamin’,
