Work Session Status Week Ending 04/20/2014

This week’s work sessions resumed with custom cutting and beveling the remaining large flexible staybolt sleeve replacements. The welders will be on site beginning this Monday.

Back head overlay weld grinding continued as the welds are blended into the existing metal.

The fabrication jig for the eight pipe superheater bundles was readjusted to conform to required measurements. Late Saturday the first heavy pipe assembly was racked in the storage container.

The hard work of cleaning and thread chasing usable staybolt sleeves underneath the boiler continued. Very few are left to do.

Several of you have been inquiring about our summer hours. We normally start the summer schedule the first work session in May which falls on Saturday May 3rd, 7:30 am. Please make note of that upcoming change.
