Electrical work continues in the cab as conduit and wiring is being installed for the various instruments and lighting. We are using warm LED lighting to conserve power.
The always present insulating and jacketing project moves along as the various panels are customized to fit each space.
The boiler water test station is nearing completion. All that is left is to install the discharge and drain piping down to a safe location.
The water chemical storage area is also, for the most part, completed as the last of the insulation is being installed. Devices are being fabricated to hold the chemical drums for safety and ease of dispensing into smaller containers.
Due to our last steam up several valve stem leaks occurred. High heat and pressure rated packing material has been procured and is being installed.
For those of you that live in and around the ABQ area, we have planned a holiday get-together at the ABQ Hotel in and near Old Town on Rio Grande NW. Garduno’s will be the buffet and we’ll have our own room. The cost is $35 each and needs to be to Rick Marsden by the end of the month. The sooner the better as he’s got it on his credit card for the room. If you make it a check, please pay NMSL&RHS and mail in or bring to Rick in the store. You may also pay with your credit card, but will cost an additional $1 or $36 each for our cost to process. Our address is on the website at www.2926.us. We need to have at least 50 people to make this work. It is Sunday December 8th from 2-5. We have a lot to be able to celebrate this year. If you want to get in touch with Rick his email is hdric@verizon.net.
Hope to see everyone at the site this week, and as always . . .
Keep on Steamin’,
