Restoration work resumed on Saturday the 30th with favorable weather.
An inventory was done in regards to the final materials needed for the small flexible staybolt sleeve repairs. Those items have now been ordered.
Trailing truck air brake linkage parts were being reassembled with new pins fabricated in-house.
Air tests of the independent brake piping has revealed more leaks, mostly at the pipe union connections. These original unions are being discarded and replaced with new parts.
Cleaning and painting of various parts and the chassis is an ongoing project. Painting will need to be suspended in the near future due to the impending cold temperatures.
Cleaning and inspection of a second duplex water pump continues and is nearing the point of reassembly.
Among the parts thoroughly cleaned and painted Saturday was the man way cover. The underside was left unpainted which will be done at a later date.
Membership renewal notices went out in the mail this week along with the annual stylish Christmas/Greeting cards. There are many areas where funds are still required so help out financially as best you can. Thanks so much for your continued support.
