This past week we went about fixing minor leaks which were noticed during our successful steam-up and safety valve setting.
Various valve packing were removed. High pressure rated packing material was procured and is being installed.
The upper certified pressure gauge piping was removed and rerouted away from the vent valve.
As per our guest fireman, Bob K’s suggestion, the burner was lowered about 1 1/2″.
Work continues on the chemical storage unit and pouring cradles.
The never ending jacketing project sent off about ten fabricated panels to the paint shop. They were retrieved Saturday and four of them installed.
Christmas cards are being readied for your enjoyment and renewal reminder notices will be inside those cards. Please don’t throw the insides away! They are meant to remind those of you that need to pay up for next year’s membership renewals. It will make Madam Secretary’s job much easier if you remember to send it in. If you don’t want to wait we are accepting those now and you’ll be good until 1/2021.
Looking forward to our week ahead, and as always . . .
Keep on Steamin’,
Rick & Gail Kirby, CMO & Secretary
