Despite the nasty weather this week a few hardy souls showed up for work. We closed early Saturday due to cold winds.
Last Saturday, while Gail and I were off site, more work was performed on our chemical storage room insulating the walls and ceilings. Elsewhere electricians continued work on cab wiring and the forge was turning out parts for the CT&S RR. Workers removed nuts from the steam valve and replaced them with ones of the proper size. Some of the originals were in really bad shape.
Various steam valve packing were replaced with higher heat and pressure rated materials. Some of them leaked during our last steam-up.
The Christmas cards have been stuffed in their envelopes along with the membership renewal. If you wish to remain a member please remit your donation as soon as possible. Put in a little extra if you can. We will be encountering some big expenses in the new year.
There will be no work sessions on Christmas and New Years Day!! Enjoy your family and friends, and thanks to all our friends during this year that have helped us out monetarily for what we might have needed. We appreciate all your support.
Hope to see everyone on the site this week, and as always . . .
Keep on Steamin’,
