Preparations have begun for the Annual 2926 Open House on the 24th of this month.
Various areas on the firebox where staybolt sleeves were replaced received a fresh coat of paint.
The lubrication crew has successfully pumped fresh lubricant to all of the lubrication lines.
Several air leaks were located in various pipe fittings in the pipe system from the compressors to the reservoir tanks.
Our electrical gurus have rewired the large compressor so it is compatible to our available electrical sources. When that thing kicks on our electrical meter will look like a Las Vegas roulette wheel.
The dynamo #1 was tested for the Open House display and later installation.
As usual the superheater team continues to hydro test the superheater bundles and the 26L air brake team continue to layout pipe routing and connecting the various components.
Off site in California our MU box is being designed and assembled.
That’s it for last week and hope to see everyone on the site this week, and as usual . . .
Keep on Steamin’,
