A Big Thank You to Reineke Construction!

Mark Reineke, a member of about three years, wanted to contribute in a meaningful way to help our project. He saw in our Newsletter that we were doing work at the turntable and that we needed to remove the remaining dirt out of the pit. So Mark, owner of Reineke Construction, a company that performs lots of trail-construction work for various customers and has smaller equipment that is well suited for this project, offered his people, time, and equipment to complete the task we started a few months back (shoveling dirt out of a 4 1/2-ft deep pit is no easy task and no fun!). Mark and his hard-working crew, Michael Harcharick, JR (Jesus) Vargas, & Ever Adujo, armed with a small excavator, walk-behind skid-steer loader, shovels, and brooms made relatively fast work of it. In just over a half day, they moved many cubic yards of dirt, which is more than a dozen of our volunteers were able to do over a few days. Many, many thanks to his generous offer and hard work! A shout out to our dedicated member Howard Lewis who spent the day working side-by-side with them!
