Besides the normal work which has been ongoing for several months, the surge PAD welding was completed on the inside of the firebox. Very few spots remain on the outer firebox sheet. Those are being taken care of this coming week.
Various pipe brackets are being fabricated to replace old ones that have wasted away over the years. A walkway is being built for when the time comes to install the superheater bundles. It is designed to bolt to the front of the smokebox door studs which will protect all the lubricators, small fittings and pipes.

Jon Spargo, CSO, will be doing a refresher course sometime this month for those that missed the one in January. A new member class will be announced by him shortly and it will be on the website and I’ll try to remember to put the date on our weekly report as well.
